Friday, July 18: Versailles

Packed up the RV from our long stay in Paris and headed east ½ hour to Versailles and a campground owned by the same company as our Paris campground. This one has campsites spread across a hillside and it has a pool, cafe and a few other things, but it is a little rough. Campsites are small, tight and uneven and campers and Rvs are pulled in every which way....and it is very expensive. But, we are paying for the convenience of being just 2 miles from the Versailles Palace.

After getting situated, we walked down the hill to a small neighborhood shopping area and picked up a few groceries. The temp is about 90 and it was a hot walk carrying a couple bags of groceries back up the hill to the campsite. We are happy we have enough amperage to run the air conditioning to cool off.

Snacks and light dinner outside and it cooled off enough that we could sleep without the AC.
