I have been researching the Canadian Maritime Provinces for weeks using travel guide books, the trusty internet, AAA and brochures I obtained from Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We have a huge list of things to see and do along with a general schedule that will undoubtedly change due to weather and any other reason, including because we feel like it! We just love the freedom to stay as long as we want or cut short a visit whenever it suits us - this retirement is grand. We have only one item that can't be changed - tickets to the Halifax Royal International Tattoo on July 1st (Canada Day).
Cath and Jack,
ReplyDeleteThe blog is a brilliant idea. The site looks great, and how fun will this be tracking you through your travels.
See you at Charlie's in July!
Great blog setup - can you tell me how yor got the map included?
ReplyDeleteWe just returned from Nova Scotia - our fourth trip there - be sure to check out the tidal bore in Truro. We stayed at the Cove Campground (http://www.oceanfront-camping.com/) in the Annapolis Valley) it was a great spot.
Hi Stan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the CG info. Where's the best place to view the tidal bore in Truro?
We used the My Map feature of Google Maps to create the map. Google gives you the choice of linking the map and it provides the code for the blog.
Thanks for the info about the map - am looking forward to following your progress. Have you by chance looked at my web site www.acadiavacations.com ?
ReplyDeleteAnd, I got your e-mail - you guessed right .........
As for watching the Tidal Bore their are many locations you will see but there is a great spot that is well signed right in Truro. Check the tides so you will have a good idea when to be there. It is fascinating to watch the wall of water as it comes in. You might check with the Nova Scotia Tourism office for better info.
